Volunteering at the YCMS during my senior semester at USF opened experiences and doors I did not think would open. For example, I had lovely conversations and gained trust with the staff, who guided me into expanding my business skills and developing my museum experience. They also motivated me to persevere through the difficult moments in my life. As an intern at the Ybor City Museum Society I had the opportunity to assist in the creation of the museum's new Fernando's Footsteps exhibit. This was such a valuable learning experience and helped me feel more connected with our local history.
