Giving Back to the Museum

Ybor City's rich heritage and history attract over 40,000 visitors yearly and volunteers help us share the City's history with them. These dedicated volunteers have contributed thousands of hours to the Musuem State Park and the Society.

Volunteers help the Museum by:

  • providing tours of the Museum and La Casita (a circa 1895 restored cigar worker's house)
  • staffing the Museum Store
  • participating in yearly fundrasing events and exhibition receptions
  • cataloguing the Society's artifacts
  • providing administrative support
  • joining the various Board of Director committees:
    • Exhibitions/Programming/Education
    • Facilities:bunker Building/Casitas/Centro Ybor
    • Finance/Develpment/Grants
    • Fundraising/Special Events
    • Legal By-Laws/Nominating
    • Membership
    • Public Relations/Marketing
